What we've been up to lately

May 28, 2007: JumpKnowledge Webpage Annotator
All new soft links lets you to cross-reference any part of your Annotation to any other part. Click here to view an example Annotation with soft links. To create a soft link, just type any reference number in square brackets. Note that soft links will only be clickable when viewing the Annotation (it will not be clickable in create or update mode.)
Comments can now have hyperlinks. Anything that starts with www or http will be automatically converted into a clickable hyperlink. Note that hyperlinks will only be clickable when viewing the Annotation (it will not be clickable in create or update mode.)
When viewing or printing Annotations, the actual capture date is displayed on the page header.
Viewing Annotations of large web pages should be much snappier.

May 11, 2007: Jack Knows Nothing
Yes, the blogging bug has finally bit. Jack Knows Nothing is the name of our new blog. Check it out at http://blog.jkn.com and see all the gory details for yourself.

May 2, 2007: JumpKnowledge Webpage Annotator BETA 2
Ability to create & add a custom JumpKnowledge Button to your own site, blog, or email newsletter. Give your audience and customers the power of Annotation and in return you'll get maximum publicity & increased revenue.
Viewing an Annotation is much more streamlined. The Comments and Pages tabs were combined into one Index tab. A new navigation control makes it easy to cycle through all the comments.
Adding, editing, deleting, and moving comments around just got easier because JumpKnowledge numbers your comments in positional order automatically. If you have more than one page, then your comments are prefixed with the page number.
When creating/updating an Annotation, you can change the order of the pages.
 You can now print Annotations.
Due to popular request, the add/modify comment dialog was enlarged.
When you copy an Annotation, you are given a choice to copy the comments or not.
Web pages that were captured using the "Exact" option in FireFox are now noted as such and contain a warning link.
Improved performance and stability. Thanks to optimized caching, your Annotations should load and display faster than ever!
And as always, your feedback is sincerely requested and appreciated. Contact us through email or at our JumpKnowledge Forum.

January 9, 2007: JumpKnowledge Webpage Annotator BETA 1
Yes, we have a new focus (Annotations), a new logo (the pencil tip), a new motto (spread a little jump knowledge), but we're the same lovable people on the inside.
 Snapshots were renamed Annotations.
 Annotations can span multiple pages.
You can add comments anywhere on the page.
One-click icons make it easy to email, blog, save and bookmark your Annotations.
Email Annotations directly from your own email program with access to your full address book. You no longer have to import your address book into jkn.com. Also, because you are sending the email directly, there is less of a chance that it will be mistaken for bulk mail or spam.

June 23, 2006: Introducing snapshot.jkn.com
Conveniently take and save a snapshot of any web page
Ideal service for bloggers or anyone that makes reference to a web site.
Unlike books, newspapers, journals, etc. that have a permanent written record, web pages do not have a written record. Currently, people such as journalists, academics, bloggers, researchers, students, and others do not have a simple and consistent way to link to a web page as it was when they wrote their article, report, research study, academic paper, etc. If the web page that they quoted or referenced changes afterwards, they will waste time trying to reconstruct the original web page and their credibility may be questioned.

You can now email a web page to yourself only.
Add, correct, and delete email addresses from your address book.
To reduce confusion that "jkn address" is an email address, "jkn address" was renamed "jkn id"
You can now sign in with your email address (in addition to your jkn id)
Fixed errors when adding another email address to your jkn account.
You can now have apostrophes in your name and your recipients' names.
When sending an email, a tool-tip displays the email address of your contacts.
Many improvements to the web page capture routine. If you had trouble emailing a particular web page before, try it again.

February 17, 2006: Amazing Webpage Emailer 0.94
Fixed the glitch with the address bar.

February 9, 2006: Amazing Webpage Emailer for Google Toolbar
We are proud to announce the immediate availability of the Amazing Webpage Emailer for Google Toolbar.

January 15, 2006: Amazing Webpage Emailer 0.92
Replaced Toolbar with an icon. When the icon is clicked, an options dialog box is displayed.
On the dialog box, all capture options (This Page, Fresh Page, Hyperlink Only, Nothing) have tool-tips that fully explain each option.
On the dialog box, you can now specify if you want to open a new browser window or tab.
All dialog options are automatically saved for next time.
"This Page" capture option no longer locks your computer while it captures the page. Instead, a progress bar displays the percent completed and you can cancel in the middle.
Subject and Note on the Toolbar were deemed redundant and were not added to the dialog box. Instead, enter the Subject and Note on the actual Send page.
You can also email by selecting Amazing Webpage Emailer... from the File and right-mouse context menu.

December 2, 2005: Amazing Webpage Emailer 0.88
You asked for it... We enhanced the extension to be compatible with FireFox 1.5

October 23, 2005: www.jkn.com / Amazing webpage emailer 0.86
Full https support.
Full international support. Web pages can be in any language or charset.
The web page is captured to the width of your browser (so the page isn't squashed)
Many improvements to the web page capture routine (too many to list) which will hopefully eliminate all capture issues. If you tried to email a web page in the past and received an error that only a link could be sent, try it again. It should work properly now.
If you have FireFox, don't forget to install the latest extension. If you don't have FireFox, what are you waiting for?

September 12, 2005: Amazing Webpage Emailer 0.85 (FireFox specific)
Fixed numerous bugs, specifically conflicts with other extensions.
Improved diagnostic feedback which will help us fix problems in the future.
If an error occurs while emailing "This web page", the "Fresh web page" will be automatically emailed instead.

August 15, 2005: www.jkn.com
Official launch of the world's first and only web-based "web page emailer". Now people can email web pages anywhere they have a web browser, even if they can't install a toolbar.

August 15, 2005: Amazing Webpage Emailer 0.82 (FireFox specific)
Support for https, password-protected, and session-specific web pages! For example, a site like Amazon.com displays a different page for every user, so if you just email the URL of an Amazon.com page, your recipient will NOT see the same page that you see. But if you use the Amazing Webpage Emailer, then you and your recipient will see the same exact page.
By public request, we added "Email page via jkn.com" and "Email link via jkn.com" to the File menu and context-sensitive right-click menu, so now you can keep the toolbar hidden.
Improved support for web pages that use framesets.

June 29, 2005: Amazing Webpage Emailer 0.75
